This Is Not a County Records Office. Wyoming County Property Records is a private reference. It cannot retrieve or certify a deed, change an assessment or perform a title search. Contact the custodian that keeps the record. For emergencies, call 911. If you believe someone is stalking or harassing you, contact local law enforcement.
Choose the Office That Holds the Record
For common Wyoming County property questions, the quickest path depends on the record type:
- Owner name or parcel search: use the Wyoming County Assessor portal and check the card's deed reference
- Recorded deeds and chain: contact the Wyoming County Clerk's land-record office
- Values and tax tickets: ask the Assessor about an assessment and the Sheriff's Tax Office about a bill
- Parcel lines and lot layout: use the county tax map for context and request a recorded plat from the Clerk
- Other county records: see the office directory on the county records home page
- Records held by a public body: submit a specific written request under the West Virginia Freedom of Information Act, W.Va. Code §29B-1-1 et seq., to that custodian
